  Our training center spans more than 53 acres of beautiful fertile Sanger river bottom, approximately 10 miles southeast of Fresno. The river bottom environment, professional staff, and well-designed facility are ideal surroundings for developing young horses to their full potential. Silver-D-Bar has been owned and managed by the Dodds family since 1965. The training center is dotted with large oak trees, and the Kings River runs right through the beautifully landscaped ranch. A professional, yet friendly and homey environment makes Silver-D-Bar the ideal place to receive complete training, lay-up and sales preparation for Thoroughbreds and Quarter Horses. Silver-D-Bar is renowned for its effectiveness in starting young prospects. The emphasis is on achieving sound minds as well as promoting the physical conditioning needed to compete in prestigious company. Silver-D-Bar boasts a half-mile training track with three-eights-mile chute and a three-stall starting gate. The training track is consistently groomed for a well-manicured training surface. The river bottom soil makes an excellent exercise surface for horses in training. The center also offers 36 12' x 12' stalls, 27 20' x 30' covered pens and 26 turnout runs. Access to the Bay Area and Southern California racetracks is less than a 3 1/2-hour drive away. While some larger operations may lose their clients in the shuffle, such is not that case at Silver-D-Bar. Each horse received individualized care and his owner receives a personal touch, as well.
